Day 1: LIMA
Arrive in Lima and catch your private transfer to your chosen hotel.

Day 2: LIMA - PUERTO MALDONADO - AMAZON RAINFOREST
Arrive in Puerto Maldonado and private transfer to your selected lodge.
Whoever termed space 'the final frontier' had forgotten about the Amazon. Swathes of this rainforest have still to experience human footfall. Today you'll get to experience it for yourself. Each lodge offers different activities, but the list ranges from walking tours to piranha fishing.

Day 3: AMAZON RAINFOREST
You've swapped the concrete jungle for the real one, so make the most of your change of scene by taking part in another activity. Try kayaking, visit a local farming community, or go bird watching, for example.

Day 4: AMAZON RAINFOREST - PUERTO MALDONADO - CUZCO
Welcome to Cuzco! A private transfer will take you to your hotel.

Day 5: CUZCO
Embark on a Cuzco city tour. This city has a number of claims to fame. It was the capital of the Incan Empire and today it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide will show you the city's ropes, taking you to the main plaza with it Colonial architecture, the Santo Domingo Convent, and the Incan ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Quenco and Tambomachay.

Day 6: CUZCO - SACRED VALLEY - AGUAS CALIENTES
Today you'll venture into the Sacred Valley. Thanks to its fertile farmlands, this valley was the meal ticket for thousands of Incans. Your guide will take you round the ruins of settlements, including Ollantaytambo and Pisaq. You'll also see a modern side to the valley on a visit to the Awanacancha weaving centre.
Later, you'll travel to Aguas Calientes – the village that serves as front of house for Machu Picchu.

Day 7: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO
Wake up early to get to Machu Picchu for sunrise.
This ancient sight is a contemporary cover girl. It's graced the front pages of countless travel magazines in countries all around the world and today you'll be right inside it.
Take a guided tour of Machu Picchu to discover the locations of the ritual baths, the Palace of the Princess and the Temple of the Sun.

Day 8: CUZCO - PUNO
Journey along the Sun's Route from Cuzco to Puno, stopping halfway for lunch at Sicuani.

Day 9: PUNO - LAKE TITICACA - PUNO
Today you'll get acquainted with Lake Titicaca. Pooling out for 58,000 square kilometres it's the largest lake in South America. While you're here you'll visit the floating islands of Uros and have a lunch made by the locals on Taquile Island.

Day 10: PUNO - LIMA
Arrive in Lima and private transfer to the city centre for a guided tour of Lima.
Then it's time to go wave goodbye. A private transfer will take you to the airport.
