SALKANTAY TREK

SALKANTAY TREK

$780 per person

This trip puts a twist on the traditional Machu Picchu experience. Instead of following the Inca Trail to reach the ancient citadel, you’ll take a route that runs past the Vilcabamba mountains, where the peaks are saw-blade sharp. Salkantay is the tallest in this range, and its tip is usually daubed in snow. Sights along the route include coffee farms, Incan ruins and waterfalls.
