Day 1: Lima

Welcome to the capital city of Peru. A private transfer will take you from the airport to your hotel.

Day 2: CUZCO

Arrive in Cuzco and take a private transfer to your hotel.

Take a guided tour of Cuzco, the Incan equivalent of London or New York. Visit the gaping main plaza with its grand Colonial cathedral before taking in sights like the Santo Domingo Convent and the ancient Incan ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Quenco and Tambomachay.

Day 3: CUZCO

Take a guided tour of the Sacred Valley to open the history book on the Incan civilisation. You`ll drop in on the ancient settlement of Ollantaytambo, visit Pisaq, where a colourful market bustles close to the ruins of ancient Incan homes, and Awanacancha – a weaving centre where Peruvian textiles are made.

In the afternoon you`ll take the train to Aquas Calientes – the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Day 4: CUZCO

Set your alarm so you can arrive at Machu Picchu in time to watch the sunrise spill over the ancient ruins.

Then take a tour of the mountain-crowning town. Your guide will show you sights like the ritual baths, the Palace of the Princess and the Temple of the Sun. For a little bit extra you can climb to the top of Huayna Picchu – the mountain that looms over the citadel. Once at the top, the ruins will be ready for their photo call.

Day 5: PUNO

Journey to Puno, following The Route of the Sun. The route is punctuated with archeological sites and there will be opportunities to stretch your legs at some of them. There will be a pit-stop for a buffet lunch in Sicuani, half way into the trip.

Day 6: PUNO

Discover Lake Titicaca. This sky-stroking lake is one of the highest in the world. Your guide will show you Uros, where locals have made floating islands from reeds and built homes on top of them. Later, you`ll have lunch with the locals on Taquile Island.

Day 7: LIMA

Arrival in Lima and private transfer to Lima center.

Take a guided tour of Lima to get a fly-on-the-wall insight into Peru`s modern capital city. Take in the main plazas, Presidential Palace and spook yourself in the catacombs of San Francisco Church. Drop in on the Park of Love in Miraflores to eyeball the Pacific Ocean before your private transfer takes you back to the airport.
