Summary
One of the most popular treks in the world is, without doubt, the Inca trail. It combines ancient archaeological
sites, snow-covered mountain scenery, cloud forests and a rich biodiversity. The trek ends at “The Lost City of the Incas”, Machu Picchu. Although the trek is rated as moderate, this magnificent hike is for travelers who are in condition to hike up to ten hours, with breaks, in a single day.

Day by day itinerary

Day 1: (Lima – Cuzco) / Andes
- Arrival in Cuzco, welcome by a PBT Representative and transfer to your selected hotel
- Rest to acclimatize to the altitude. (10,500 ft..)
- Guided City tour of Cuzco, You will visit the Cathedral, Sun Temple, Main Square, Korikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucara, Qenqo, and Tambomachay.

Day 2: (Cuzco – Sacred Valley – Cuzco)
- Sacred Valley Tour (Tue/Thu/Sun)
- You will visit Pisaq, Ollantaytambo, the Pisaq market and Sacred Valley.
- Return to Cuzco.
Briefing - Day Prior to Trek
A day before begining the Inca trail, passengers will be given information and recommendations regarding the trek, It will be on trekking times, the route, campsites, regulations of Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary, equipment, basic material necessary for the traveller, clothing, food, security, first aid, porters, transport and other tourist information.

Day 3: (Cuzco – Huayllabamba)
- Begin the Inca Trail: bus to Chillca, hike to Llulluchapampa. The first day the trail leads along the Urubamba River, offering you spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and stunning vegetation.

Day 4: (Huayllabamba – Pacaymayo)
- From Llulluchapampa you hike to Sayamarca. The second day is more challenging as you climb a 4.200-meter high pass, often covered in mist.

Day 5: (Pacaymayo - Winaywayna)
- From Sayamarca you walk to Wiña Wayna. A stone path guides you through a dense cloud forest to Wiña Wayna, passing many Inca ruins along the way.

Day 6: (Winaywayna – Machu Picchu - Cuzco)
- You arrive at the Inca “Sun Gate” just before sunrise, the fog lifts and you are looking down onto Machu Picchu just as the Incas did centuries before you. The sight is awe inspiring - a sprawling temple bathed in sunlight.
- Guided excursion to the lost city of the Incas Machu Picchu.
- You will board your train back to Cuzco.

Day 7: (Cuzco)
- Transfer to the airport to board your flight back to Lima or you can go to continue your adventure.
